Tracking cycles and workouts can be overwhelming, with many apps offering generic fitness or period tracking features. Users often lack personalization and supportive guidance.
EmmüFit addresses this by:
Designing hormone-synced workouts for safety and effectiveness.
Providing an encouraging community for motivation and support.
Offering an intuitive, visually calming interface.
Integrating micro animations to guide users and enhance usability.
Through surveys and interviews with women and personal trainers, we discovered:
Users want tailored workouts aligned with hormonal cycles.
Community encouragement increases adherence and motivation.
Clean, nurturing, and intuitive UI helps reduce app fatigue.
Women (14–70) value long-term health, strength, and well-being over performance.

My teammate and I designed the wireframes, conducted in-depth research, and created the full interactive prototype for Emmüfit, building on branding previously developed by my teammate in another class. We added micro-animations to make the experience intuitive and lively and ensured the design supports women of all ages as well as trainers offering guidance. The prototype was also tested with the knowledgeable personal trainer Saba, whose insights helped ensure that our flows not only resonate with regular users but also meet the expectations of fitness professionals.

Emmu Fit challenged me to balance functional complexity with a nurturing, calm user experience. I overcame tricky interaction flows and micro animation implementation, resulting in a polished, user-friendly prototype that aligns with the brand’s vision.

Finding a nanny or family is often overwhelming. Families scroll through endless profiles, while nannies face irrelevant or unreliable requests. Many matches are made based on photos rather than compatibility, leading to frustration and unfair experiences.
NuNu addresses this by:
Prioritizing needs, availability, and personality over images;
Reducing unwanted messages with mutual matching;
Offering calendars and interview scheduling;
Providing support groups for community connection.

NuNu ensures a safe, fair, and efficient matching process for families and nannies. Users complete a personality and needs assessment to guarantee compatibility. Nannies upload references and criminal record checks, while families share details about their children, requirements, and references if available. All criminal records are reviewed by the NuNu team, funded through a family subscription that also keeps the app ad-free. Once matched, both sides can schedule interviews directly within the app for a seamless and trustworthy experience.

This project challenged us to embrace speculative design and uncertainty, teaching us how to pivot from familiar design approaches to narrative-first thinking. We gained a deeper appreciation for the value of flexibility and teamwork under pressure, and discovered how minimal, functional tools can carry significant emotional weight even in extreme contexts.
